Connecting the Queclink CV200XEU Tracker to the GPS-Trace Platform

1. Preparation

Before setting up and connecting, ensure you have:

    • The Queclink CV200XEU tracker.
    • A SIM card with activated internet.
    • A GPS-Trace platform account.
If it concerns a Forguard account, it can only be created and configured by a GPS-Trace partner through the Partner Panel. However, the tracker can also be used in the Ruhavik application without any restrictions.
    • Instructions for configuring the tracker, as well as the configurator itself, are available in case you plan to use them to set up the tracker.

2. Starting with the Tracker

When you open the case of the Queclink CV200XEU-XNA tracker, you will find the following elements:

  • Reset Button: Used to reset the device settings to factory defaults.
  • SIM Card Slot: Allows you to install a SIM card for the tracker’s mobile communication.

  • Connect the tracker to a computer with the pre-installed Queclink_CV_Manage_Tool_V1.0.20 configuration program using a special cable.
  • Enter the password CM200 and click “Try to Connect.” The successful connection of the tracker to the computer will be indicated in the configurator.

4. Configuration of the Tracker

The tracker has a multitude of settings and various functions. We will focus primarily on the basic settings for starting work on the GPS-Trace platform. For more detailed questions about configuring the tracker, its capabilities, and functions, we recommend contacting Queclink directly, as they will have the most accurate and up-to-date information and expertise.

After entering the configurable parameters, you must click the “Send” button. The configurator will notify you of the successful command sending.

  • APN Setting:

Set the APN according to the data from the SIM card provider you are using with the tracker. Depending on the provider, this could be just the APN name or the APN username and password.

  • Setting Server and Port:

The tracker should be configured to send messages to the server and port specified in the unit card in the Forguard or Ruhavik account (Unit Card - Settings -Hardware) or in the Partner Panel.

  • Setting Message Frequency:

The frequency with which the tracker sends messages to the system determines how accurately the track and location will be displayed in real-time in the application. However, the message frequency affects internet traffic consumption.

You can also configure a multitude of other parameters and conditions for sending messages from the tracker to the platform, including geofences, report sending, accident detection, driver behavior monitoring, video, and more. Some examples of configuration are shown in the screenshots.
