Custom Website Branding: New Feature for GPS-Trace Partners

Creating modern, intuitive applications is like walking a fine line, balancing between falling into the abyss of heavily loaded functionality and maintaining visual simplicity in the solution. The GPS-Trace team, within the RnD framework of Gurtam, is always seeking this balance and strives to deliver solutions to its community that are simple, concise, and functional.

Perhaps, few would argue that over 240,000 B2C users is quite an impressive result for a team that has never exceeded 10 people. It might seem unrelated, but what does the option of branding a website have to do with B2C users...

Besides all the requests for application functionality, even back when the team was focused solely on B2C users, questions occasionally arose, is it possible to brand Ruhavik? You can imagine what happened when we shifted our development focus towards partners.

For a long time, we stayed away from such solutions—after all, why go for white label if you have 200,000+ users in the B2C segment. But partner demand grew every week, and the global IoT SaaS solutions market, once it started growing, never thought of slowing down.

In the SaaS (Software as a Service) industry, about 70% of companies offer White Label solutions, allowing their clients to use software products under their own brands. There's no mystery here; developing your own solutions is a very expensive pleasure. Trust us, we know, because we develop and provide them to partners worldwide.

So, enough with the preamble, let's get to the point.


What white labelling options does the GPS-Trace platform offer its partners?

Currently, 4 options are available:

  1. New! Web application branding: your own domain (CNAME DNS record), application name, logo, and colour palette;
  2. Choice of colour palette for the Forguard application;
  3. Use of your own logo;
  4. Adding provider company information to the Forguard application.

But let's go through everything step by step.

  1. Branding of the web application: your own domain (CNAME DNS record), application name, logo, and colour palette.


    Now, all verified partners have the option to use their own domain with the client application. By adding a CNAME (partner domain) and setting a unique application name, our partners can direct their clients to their own domain. This feature is available exclusively for the web version.App name and domain customization
    The feature is currently free for partners using Forguard and will remain so until February 1, 2025. After that, this feature will be charged at a rate of 50 euros per month. The specific billing terms will be sent to each partner via email, and they can also be obtained by contacting us at business@gps-trace.com.
    The setup, along with instructions, is available to verified partners in the Partner Panel under the App design tab.

  2. Choice of colour palette for the Forguard application.

    GPS-Trace partners have the option to choose the colour palette for the Forguard application. The partner selects a preferred colour scheme in the Partner Panel. Then, the partner's client needs to log in to the application just once under their account for the colour scheme to be applied.

  3. Use your own logo.


    Similarly to the colour scheme, the partner can upload their own logo, which will also be displayed to their client after the first login to their account. Logo upload GPS-Trace
    Once the logo and color scheme are saved, the data is instantly and automatically updated. This way, our partners can always experiment with different logo options and suitable color schemes.
  4. Adding provider company information to the Forguard application.


    Partners care deeply about their clients, and clients typically require attention and assistance. With experience from 200,000+ users, we understand the importance of staying connected with the client. Therefore, our partners can place information about themselves directly in a separate tab of the Forguard application.Provider Info in Forguard
    To use this option, the company card must be filled out. Once saved, it will be automatically sent to the GPS-Trace team for review. Typically, the review takes no more than 24 hours on business days.

In conclusion, it can be said that GPS-Trace now offers a wide range of options for branding and white labelling its solutions.


Yes, there is a gap, in the form of full white-labelling of applications for Google Play and the App Store. Currently, we have no plans to implement such functionality due to the high time costs of development and support for such solutions. Although, some engineer on our team mentioned the possibilities of PWA applications, but we'll talk about that some other time.
