Yes, we are not asking for any fee either for the services GPS-Trace Orange provides or for using Wialon GPS tracking software. Use of GPS satellites and signals is free for civilian use as well. The reason, we've started free GPS-Trace Orange tracking service is that after buying Wialon – a professional GPS vehicle tracking software for ourselves, we've understood that we're not using its possibilities for more than 5%. GPS-Trace Orange was inspired by projects such as Wikipedia or OpenStreetMap who provide information and services free of charge. We have decided to make this free GPS tracking service so that users all over the world would be able to record information about their location and share it with each other.
What happens with information about my location?
Data with all your tracks and locations is stored within database of Wialon GPS tracking software and available to you only. And it's your decision whether to share it with someone else or not.

GPS-Trace Orange server keeps all messages received from your GPS tracker for a period of one month.
Is it possible to erase all my data from GPS-Trace Orange server, including my tracks?
Yes, at any moment you can delete your GPS-Trace Orange user information with all messages received from your GPS device.
Which GSM service providers and which mobile phones can I use with GPS-Trace Orange service?
GPS-Trace Orange tracking service works with any mobile phone operator that supports GPRS data transfer protocol. To use GPS-Trace Orange service with your mobile phone it should have a GPS module and be able to send GPS data to our server.
I have a GPS tracker; can I use it with your free GPS tracking service?

What kind of information does my Smartphone sends to your site?
Information that is transferred from your GPS-enabled smartphone to our server includes just your current location coordinates and altitude. No other data is transferred from your GPS device to GPS-Trace server, unless you specify it.
How often does my data transferred to your GPS tracking site?
By default interval between transfers of GPS data is 30 seconds, but you can change it in the settings of your GPS tracker.
Can I have a GPS tracking device installed in my car, so I will be able to track it?
Yes, there are a number of GPS trackers that are specially designed for installing in a vehicle to track it.
